About AEEC

KEY PRIORITIES

  

1. Maintain a True Public-Private Partnership: The AEEC partners and collaborates with the Arizona Department of Education, regional Career and Technical Education Districts and secondary schools, Adult Education providers, Community Colleges, educational experts, and key executives from strategic industries to identify and address immediate and long-term critical education and economic development needs of Arizona.


2. Innovation: The AEEC embraces and encourages innovative approaches to educational programs, leveraging the latest cutting-edge technologies and delivery methods, pedagogical approaches, and business practices to drive excellence and continuous improvement across the public education system.


3. Renewing and Reinventing Career Pathways: The AEEC prioritizes expanding adult education and career and technical education programs to provide access to work-based learning earlier in the education cycle and develop and leverage learn and earn models to align education and training programs with the evolving needs of key industries.

SIX INITIATIVES 

  1. Align education with current and future industry demands by Forging Robust Partnerships between Districts, Adult Education, Community Colleges, and Businesses.
  2. Guarantee high-quality CTE Programs that meet current industry needs through agreed-upon measures. 
  3. Increase CTE and Adult Education Program Completion. 
  4. Create Professional Career Onboarding - PCOs (learn and earn concept) for high school, community college students, and upskilled adults.
  5. Create Recruitment Partnerships to ensure effective hiring of graduates.
  6. Evaluate and Improve Oversight Mechanisms involving careful data collection and analysis.
